HELP!!!!! 1984 305 Intake manifold - oil press switch for gauges verses idiot lights

I swapped an idiot light cluster for an analog gauge cluster - I picked up an AC oil pressure switch for gauges. It is way too large to fit next to the distributor where my origial idiot light switch was located.

Does anyone know if there is an extra special switch I need, or maybe an adapter of some sort? It seems strange that GM would have two different manifolds just to accomodate two switch sizes.

ANYONE - please help!!!!!!
thanks,
Boomer

There is a brass fitting that puts the oil sending unit out at an angle.

Right... you can duplicate the thing the factory used if you go to the hardware store and get some brass pipe fittings:

1/8" pipe nipple, 2" long
1/8" pipe elbow, female both ends
