Got a 400 block.... and a question
So I got my hands on a usable 4.125" bore block, and the crank I have is a 2pc seal with 350 mains. And I'll be needing a set of main bearing spacers to make this work.
I'm just curious whether anyone who has experience with these spacers has any advice to offer, such as what brand is best, or special setup hints.
Thanks

Yes.
A 400 crank is about the same price and gives more cubic inches.
No special assembly tips. They're basically just 400 main bearings that have been align-bored to the 350 bearing bore diameter.
I used the Comp ones.

I pretty much have my choice of cranks, there's one of each here, exc 3".
Most likely I'll use the 3.75" one, unless any of the de-stroker fanatics have data that convinces me I should do something else.

I'd take a 400 over a 377 or a 383 any day.

and before someone says it...
pick a RPM you want to spin your 377 at.
you can do the same thing with the 400, and make more power doing it.

My ultimate goal is a 4" stroke in a tall block w 6.25" rods.
When/if that ever happens, then I'll have an extra block, and I can try a de-stroker.
thanks anyhow
