Will JB weld hold up submerged in gas

I am trying something new(will disclose later) but I am wondering if Jb weld will hold up submerged in gasoline as in a gas tank or fuel bowl?

I was going to help you later but I decided to disclose this info now

"It's strong as steel and impervious to water, gasoline, chemicals, and acids"

JBWeld is impervious to gasoline. I've used it to seal carb bases that have lasted for decades afterwards.

Not to rain on your parade, but there's probably not much new that you can try with JBWeld that involves gas. There's only just so many parts on a car that touch gasoline.

I think you missed the word Submerged! I haven't seen JB or any other product even seal a hole in a gas tank for very long much less submerged in the stuff. Don't get me wrong, JB is good stuff but it has it's limitations. Not good for tank repair because it has a hard time bonding to smooth surfaces such as a fuel tank. Good for carb. base plates though, it will stop vac. leaks!

JB will not hold up submerged.
A while back, I tried it on a pin hole in a tank fuel float. It held for a short term, then came apart.

It works fine, you just need to get the correct JB weld, clean the sufface, mix it right then let it cure. I used it on an old Yammaha trail bike tank and its held fine for 5 years.
