last legs??!!

My engine has started making a rattleing noise when I give it gas & a lot when I go up hills. Could it be a spun bearing (hope not). I have the timing set right, I adjusted it after I heard this. Also, there was coolent in the oil for about 25 miles. I changed the oil and saw there was not a lot of coolant, maby 1/4 of a quart. Please help Thanks.
P.S. the coolent got into the engine durring an intake swap, not a crack.

whoops! Drain that coolant before you pull the intake next time! ( dont feel bad we all do it the first few times.. )

Is it a rattle, Or a knock ?

You sure its not pre ignition AKA pinging, that would sound sorta like something hitting the Fan. thats What I remember I first thought it was before i knew anything ( not that I do now )

rod knock isnt a rattling noise.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say its ping. Back off the timing even more and see if it goes away.
