Car: then:1986 Z/28 now: 95 Trans Am

Engine: 305

Transmission: TH-700R

Loose Throttle Cable.

my throttle cable is very loose and im pretty sure my car is losing power, can anyone tell me how to tighten it up, so its more taunt.

I dont think they are adjustable. A new one is in order.

I dunno...my cable was loose n when i adjusted it i pulled the housing around the cable back out of the slider n it tightened it up a little

I think what you are talking about is the Throttle Valve cable for the transmission and not the Throttle cable for the gas pedal. The Throttle cable for the gas pedal is not adjustable.

yea my fault...i was talkin about the tv cable for the transmission
