Good idle, strong low-end torque, 2,400 to 5,900 rpm powerband. Small tube headers and free-flowing induction recommended. Compression ratio: 9:1 to 10.5:1.
214 intake/220 exhaust @ .050" duration
.301 in./.310 in. Lift @ lobe
.452 in./.465 in. Lift @ 1.5 ratio
110° LSA

For less amount of money, you can get a hydraulic roller cam from Comp Cams that was specifically designed for TPI engines. And they have a little bit broader of a powerband.
Unless you have the cam already, in which case, it would work. Nothing is going to make the car not work. It just wont fuction very well. Some tuning would be desired as that cam appears to me as if it were designed/ground with carbureted applications in mind.

Assuming this is a bone stock, the 08-501-8 (XR264HR) is a good cam. If you are planning chip upgrades and tuning, of course a larger cam can be used.

Re: cam
Would this trick flow cam be a good choice for a carb'd L98? I've got a set of Torquer heads and Scorpion 1.6 rockers sitting around until I get a cam. $120 at summit, might be the right time to pick one up.
