Whining Engine !!...Please help

A couple of days ago my car started making this annoying whining sound under the hood, it goes off after a few minutes when it is running but its still annyoing. I can't tell exactly where it is coming from, but it seems like possibly the left side (if you were standing in front of the car facing it). I have noticed no changes at all in the car. Everything works the way it used to except for that sound. I have no clue what it could be…I had my alternator changed about 2 weeks ago, also the belt….could it be possible that it has anything to do with that ? Any ideas ? I would like that annoying sound to stop. Thanks a lot,

- Alex

it didnīt start immediately after I had it changed, it was about 2-3 days after it...... it stops when I hit higher rpmīs but as soon as I run idle again itīs there.....but like I said before its gone after a few minutes, never the less its annyoing....the sounds is there weather I turn the wheel or not....the reason Iīm keeping it stock is because its a rare car in good condition and if I would do mods on it it would kill the value
