Broken Tach
Alright here is the problem when i go to start the car the tach looks fine turn the key and the tachslowly climbs then keeps on rollin to the bottom right side of the gauge giveing me no reading what so ever.. and i am baffeld as to what is cuaseing this also the brake light will not go off i replaced the master cylinder and bled the lines and it is still on. this combo of problems has been well anoying for the longest of times and i was wondering if any of you tech gurus could aid me and finding the answer thanks for any help you can foward
The two problems may not be related.
Have you removed the connector from teh brake pressure differential switch to see if that turns off the light? If not, you may have a problem with the switch on the hand (parking) brake lever.
The tach problem could be internal to the tach, or could be a problem with the distributor wiring.
