belts squeel at about 3k rpms!!!
i just got done putting my car back together. i have had every possible problem but i finally got them all fixed and figured out and now my belts squeel like crazy at about 2500-3k and the more u give it the louder it gets! its drivin me crazy. i cleaned the pulleys with an all purpose cleaner and a nice clean dry rag. all the pulleys line up (had that problem already) and they are good and tight. used a big pry bar to pry them tight and tighten then down. it almost sounds like my fan is hitting something but its not. and i only have 2 belts, power steering and water pump/alternator. alternator is new so dont think i have a bad bearing. i dont know what to do but im goin nuts. and ideas?

Probably not enough belt surface contact. I used to have the same problem so made the switch to an electric fan
