My question is just that.
how does the dimmer switch rod fit into the siganl switch arm?

There is a paper clip type piece of metal sticking out too. It has a loop in it.

I assume you are talking about the switch to put on the brights! If so, it was a real PITA for me, and I'm not sure if I got it in there right (but hell it works doesn't it?) There is a little plastic piece the rod sits up against, and the connects to the signal arm I just balanced them in. Check the post about an almost stolen car, Vader posted some of his excellent diagrams that we the general public can't ever seem to get our hands on
