need advise on 327 proyect

yes, it's not intended as a race engine, maybe to kick few muswang butt once in a while, the block will be .030 over but the heads will be 416 (58cc from 305 HO) it's intake valves are bigger than those that were on the original heads, compression it's gonna rise like hell but i want to use reg pump gas the question is...
what kind of pistons and cam do i need to achieve this?
LOW budget to be consider.
thanks to everybody....fern.

without doing the math to figure compression i'd say you need a dished piston. you aren't very clear on what the engine is, or what it's in, efi, carb, intake, headers, auto or manual so picking a cam would be a joke without knowing more.

ok. it's a 327 bored .030, will go with a 350 corvette (79?) aluminium manifold, rochester 4-bbl carb.
doing some math i've got to the conclusion that with flat top pistons and a regular head gasket (big one) should have 9.7:1 compression. (58cc heads)
fern.

i've used lunati bracket master cams in similar SBCs. don't have a catalog handy but the one with .480 lift ought to work good for you. every one else here will tell you to run comp, but i like lunati.

I would just take a grinder and unshroud the combustion chambers around the valves, then just use flattop pistons.

i wouldn,t use 305 heads they suck. find some open chamber early 70s heads with 1.94s and 1.5s vlaves, they will out flow punched out 305 heads any day.

Curent: 350,performer RPM intake ,650dp, 700r4, headers, 3inch exhast
Spring 01: 406, Comp 282 solid cam, 2400 stall converter, every thing else the same.
