fast burn heads, mini ram
I'm in the middle of an L98 rebuild. Originally I planned to port my TPI plenum and intake, and the stock cast iron L98 heads (w/ 3 angle valve job), and use a ZZ4 cam. But after a little browsing, I came across what appears to be an impressive combo from TPIS. GM aluminum Fast Burn heads with their Mini Ram injection system, and a ZZ-409 cam(?). Are their any members with this setup? Does it work as great as TPIS claims?
Haven't built a combo exactly like that but I built a 400 with a MiniRam and Trick Flow G2 aluminum heads (probably roughly equivalent to Fastburns). It really cranked out the power. Even with a very small cam (210* @ .050), a slow-shifting automatic trans with stock converter and tuning that was nowhere near optimal it cranked out 110+ MPH trap speeds in a big fat GTA that weighed probably close to 3800 race weight. I was very impressed with the combo.
