I just did the swap about a week ago and I'm very impressed (so are all my friends). My question is about the distrib gear. I have new points and 8mm wires but the rest of the distrib is from my 145K mile L03. It was a roller engine so the cam was steel and so I'm assuming the distrib gear is brass. The new engine is the 330hp vortec 350 with hyd. flat tap. The gear looked in near new condition so I'm not worried about that but is it going to get damaged with the new cam/engine?
