What about AFRs and Edelbrock headers?

Edelbrock TES and AFR 190s: is anyone using this combination, and did you run into any problems? Which spark plug angle did you use, the L98 or the regular angled? How about The Edelbrock Performer heads? They only come with a straight plug, will this work?

Problems? Yah, the Edelbrock headers dont flow as well as the AFR heads, choking off your exhaust.

According to a recent "build up" of a 350 by Chevy High Performance the difference between 1 5/8" headers and 1 3/4" headers at the 400 HP level made a 7 HP difference. And various other tests I have seen have shown similar results. It's not until you get into high 400 HP levels that smaller headers become a restriction.

If you already own TES, I wouldn't waste my money getting 1 3/4" headers unless you are going well over 400 HP. That's a lot of money to spend for an extra 7 HP. You should probably also have a 3 1/2" exhaust system also to get the full benefit.

If you don't have headers and think you may go to those levels then get the larger headers. Larger headers are better for higher rpms and smaller headers for lower bottom end torque.
