motor bogs out

hi there I hope someone can give me some idea's ,

here's whats happening , everytime I rev up the car , the motor bogs out , it doesn't matter if it's in gear or in park .
the car is stock as far as I know , it's an 82 305.

I assume it's not good but , would it be something simple as that , I haven't got the car on the road yet , I just got the column in this week , been working on the car after work when not raining

if you're changing the fuel filter be careful not to snap the fuel line, as i did yesterday. I picked up some new 3/8s brake and fuel line and a line bender and compression fittings.... hopefully i can get it running tomorrow
