Engine oil cooler
I have installed a converted LT1 intake from John Millican and I am sure as everyone knows, a remote thermostat housing is required. With all of the extra plumbing I will have, I am wondering if i can remove the engine oil cooler(actually just the lines). I am supposed to run coolant lines into the heater core, but the engine oil cooler lines already go to it. I can also get rid of the coolant diverter then too, since the AC has been removed. I'm wondering what and if the negative results would be by doing this. Thanks for any insight on this one.

Actually I am just going to remove the lines and run standard rubber heater hose in the correct size. The hard lines are actually in the way of my new headers I installed today and I had to move them. That is what gave me the thought of just getting rid of them totally. Instead of having the lines come out of the heater core into the cooler lines, I'll just run one to the remote thermostat and the other to the return line on the radiator.
