Can't get center console out to install Ripper Shifter

Can't get center console out to install Ripper Shifter

I bought a B&M Ripper Shifter for my 87 GTA but i can't install it because i can't seem to get the center console out, any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Well where are you at?

Theres one screw under the ashtray, and two under the console lid, then you can take the plastic cover plate up. Theres a bunch of wires in connectors under there you have to take off, be careful when you take the connectors off you could break the cover plate... Ive seen it happen before. Then there are two screws holding the console down in the bottom of the compartment and one screw in front of the compartment just behind where the shifter is, in a metal plate there.

I would take off the E-brake cover as well, its held on by one screw and will prevent you from scratching it up when you take the console out of the way.

Ok, i took out the ones under the console lid but can't find the screws under the ash tray. I'll keep looking. Thanks
