spider intake manifolds
on a spider intake manifold where the piece that covers the lifter valley is separate from the piece with the intake runners, what holds down the piece over the lifter valley?

It bolts through the upper intake and there are corresponding bolt holes in the valley plate:


These parts are generally considered "race only" and i would advise against using them on the street as their powerband is probably more in line with the tunnel ram setup or so it would seem. That particular setup i showed above is the SB2.2 design (NASCAR).
*EDIT* Doh, just realized, those 2 don't go with eachother
