Well, my car is down to repair some interior things, and i dunno what got into me...i just started takeing the runners off...then the intake, then the valve covers, ya know how it goes... Came to the conclusion, my car needs to be woke up. I would like to install a new camshaft. I plan on doing a little work on the intake, heads, and runners to tide me over if ya'll can find me a nice cam. I will be real honest, i love that old school dragster rumpity rump sound, but i don't want many problems with the ECM. If you need info on my tranny i can give ya that too (it's built for 450 HP or 8000 RPMS) with a 2k stall capable of 2200. If i could get the rumpity rump sound but still keep it streetable with hiway / city driveing (both are 50/50) I would be real happy.... Thanks to anyone willing to give their opinion on what i should get, and multiple opinions are welcome too

a long duration cam is not going to perform well with your setup.
if you just want the sound you can get it by running a more-open exhaust and very low ignition advance at idle & low RPM's. You can do this by installing a non-computer non-vacuum advance distributor with mechanical advance only. Put in a spring & weight kit and run very low initial timing of 5* or less. that will give you the rough sound but may cause problems for your ECM operation.
