A few questions about rebuilding my 350...

So I've got to rebuild my 350 from my 89 GTA, I've got a horrible rod knock... My questions are:

1) Who makes a good stroker kit (price is a huge factor)?
2) Should I ditch the TPI and go carb (reasoning is tune-ablity and I can sell my upgraded TPI.

by good do you mean cheap? there isn't really a kit, all a parts supplier does is put all the pices in one box and calls it a kit. i tihnk you need to set some parameters like what you want out of it, what you want, and budget to name a few things.

i bought an eagle 383 kit, with cast steel crank, 5140 lightweight rods and hyper pistons. about a grand. i would keep the fi, get a stealth ram. you will need a new hood on a transam (i think)

I was debating the Summit Kit vs. the Eagle kit (or just parting out my car)... If I stick w/ the FI and get a bigger intake, who does custom chip burning (I'll have to do this right?).
-hood clearance is not an issue, i've got a 4 inch cowl.
