TPS Voltage won't go below .697 ??

Is this bad ??

I cant "rotate" the sensor very much AT ALL...
and it will hardly change much

when I opened it up "the Throttle" it appeared to be smooth all the way maxing out at ~4.2 something

am I ok or is this going to effect anyhitng??

Thanks

Hecubus,

The '91 has a non-adjustable TPS. The ECM will scan the TPS at intitial power-up and use whatever value the TPS is providing for a "zero" position. The ECM is a bit more sophisticated than the older ECMs. As long as the initial voltage is below 1.0VDC, the ECM will use the position as a reference. Anything above 1.0V should eventually set a DTC. There is little benefit to adjusting the TPS as long as the WOT reading is more than 4.0VDC.

So if mine is at 0.70 at idle, going lower wont make it run better?
