Oil Leak

Guys I seem to have a tiny oil leak somewhere below the exhaust manifolds on my '87 5.7L 350

the solenoid and starter have a coating of oil

where is the most likely oil leak area on this engine.

Sounds like it could be leaking from the back of the manifold, probably at the china wall. Have you changed the manifold recently? Try tightening the manifold to see if it stops.

source found

alright so i found out where the leak is

there seems to be smoke coming from underneath the passenger side valve cover

as well that is where the majority of the oil is

what and where is this china wall and how do i tighten it?

although i did find alot of transmission fluid, that's what it seemed to be

how does transmission fluid leak from the valve cover?

what do i need to do to fix this?

i tried tightening the valve cover screws, they are on there rock solid

please help, this is my everyday runner

If it has perimeter bolt valve covers then the valve cover gasket surface is probably all bent up and bottomed out on the head. Flatten out the gasket surface and replace the gaskets adn that should fix it. The center bolt gaskets turn to crust after a really long time and they need to be replaced every so often as well.
