58cc heads, what compression ratio?

I'm considering buying a set of 58cc heads, but what will that put my compression ratio at in an L98? I'll be using Summit's rebuild kit with new pistons, if that makes a difference.

I would say in the 10.0/1 range maybe more depending on the pistons you get. What type of head will you be using, iron or aluminum?

They're aluminum. I may get them milled a little, and the block decked too if I have enough metal to shave off. I don't want the compression ratio over 10.5.

Find out what the cc of the pistons are before you cut anything. Thats pretty important at this point.

Weren't the vettes with the L98 aluminum 58cc heads at about 9.8:1 compression? If so, that should be where your at.
