Removed (most of) my AC..now I have some questions..
Okay, my first problem is sealing up the airbox now that I ripped the top part off. Can I just seal it off with a piece of plexiglass or wood? Also, what do I do with those sensors that are on the top of the airbox thing. Now my engine is throwing a SES code, but the only sensors I removed are the ones off the AC compressor, the one off the one line, and a few off the top of the AC/heater box. I also noticed that the blower will not work now unless I plug in the one sensor with 4 uneven prongs (has some weird coils on the opposite side), but even when that is plugged in, I can only get low, med-low, med-high...I can't get the blower on high.
I'm unaware of what the SES code is because I don't have all the equipment to check that with me today. But I didn't touch anything but the AC stuff.
Also, is there a belt I can use to remove the AC compressor and the smog pump? Actually, I don't even care about removing the smog pump so much...I'll just remove the part from the manifolds because I think that's ugly looking, and I'll re-route the diverter valve somewhere else out of the way, so that AIR is still pumped to the cat at least.
Oh yeah, also meant to mention, ripping the front-mount radiator for the AC out of the car is a pain in the *** if you don't do it right
There was a ton of crap between that radiator and my actual coolant radiator, so I cleaned it all off and am expecting better operating temps

Anybody? I'll get some pictures tomorrow since I went and picked up my digital camera from my girlfriend's house a little while ago.
