Car wont stay running, help!

OK...

This is not for my 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z but rather, my 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity Europsort. (Eurosport package = IROC-Z package, haha).

Anyway, this thing wont run. it starts up just fine and it will die immediatley. I can "cheat" that by keeping my foot on the gas at all times, even when braking. That means that if I am on a 50mph highway and the light turns red, I need to slightly keep my foot on the gas to keep it running, but yet brake at the same time and stop the car. What could cause this and how can I fix it? (This somewhat applies to the thirdgen board because this car uses the 2.8L MPFI which is the same as the thirdgen V6's if I am not mistaken)

HELP!!!!!!!!!

thanks

from what you say it seems like you probally need a iac (idle air control), or the wiring for it is messed up.more likely it just needs a iac though..
