Stupid question about heads

HI all, I am not really that smart when it comes to heads and engines all around, but I was wondering if 350 heads can possible fit on a 305, anyway possible (i.e. double gasket etc...)???

If there is please let me know

By the way,
is $400 for vortec heads a good deal??

Thanks,
Ryan

Yes, 350 heads will fit a 305. There are a couple of things that you need to watch out for however...
1)Valve Size: Big valves may not clear the cylinder bores on a 305. 1.94/1.50 seems to be the biggest valves that you can fit on a 305 withough clearance problems.

2)Combustion Chamber Size: Most 350 heads have at least 64cc combustion chambers. This will send your compression ratio down the tubes on a 305. You may have to get the heads milled to bring the chamber volume down to around 55-58cc.
