Need help with cam swap!!

I don't know if im just stupid or what, but I went to pull my cam out, and it won't come. I've never pulled a cam before, and I figured it was supposed to be a pretty easy thing to do. It pulled out about an inch and then stopped like it's caught on something. I tried turning it and wiggling it, and it won't come any further. Please help me out with this.

Thanks,
Adam

Assuming this is in the LG4 in your sig, did you unbolt the fuel pump and let the fuel pump pushrod fall out? I am willing to bet that is your problem.

I didn't even think about the fuel pump pushrod. It is not the LG4, it is the 406 that I am swapping the cam out of. Either way, they both have mechanical fuel pumps. Thanks a lot Stekman. TGO comes to my rescue once again!
