1991 5.7 z28 motor
I've been looking all over and can't find anything I'm looking for
Can anyone help me or point me to a place where I can find this info?
(i bought the engine for my 85 camaro w/ a 305 in it right now, gonna do the swap in Aug.)
1-when i put the engine in, should i expect the same performance that a 91 z28 gets?
2-Any idea what to expect for 1/4 mile times?
3-Will I need a new tranny to handle the hp?
4-Should I get a 3.73 rear end gear with my new motor?
Thanks for taking the time to look and for any help I get!!

You need to tell us what's in and on the motor. I can build you a 350 with under 150 hp. Telling me the size of the motor really isn't telling me much else.

Are you planning on running your Qjet on this motor or TPI because they could make a pretty big difference. The L98 wasnt exactly made for a Qjet it was made for the low end torque of TPI. But I am sure if you get an aftermarket intake and tune the carb you can make it even better than it would be with TPI, you just wouldnt see the same stock numbers. If I were you I would at least get a better cam while the motor is out and a better intake and full exhaust to match then you wont have to worry about stock L98 times.
