Oil leaking from tail pipes

Having a problem with a recently built motor.

It is burning some white smoke and is leaking oil from the tail pipes.

Any ideas on what might cause this problem?

guess #1 would be piston rings... if it is a white/blue smoke, then your engine is burning oil and your rings are... to be nice.. shot...

White smoke is usually water/coolant. Are you getting liquid oil out of your exhaust?

Have you verified that it is oil and not condensation?

If it is oil leaking and it is white smoke, then you quite possibly have a blown head gasket dumping oil/coolant into a cylinder. Make sure the crap coming out the tail pipe is oil though and not just water that picked up carbon from the entire exhaust system (I know if you spray water into your intake when running the car, black liquid will come out the tail pipe and its just water picking up carbon in the exhaust)..
