Well i have an 87 camaro with a reman centerbolt 350 and i wanted to know if i can put flat lifters in the block machined for roller. And also what is a good way to change vlave springs, without pulling the heads. one more thing what is the process for wireing up a vaccume advance dist. in place of the comp controled one?

you can use a replace the hydrolic roller wiht a solid or hydrolic cam and lifters, just have to change push rods too. you can buy spring compresser made for head on engine applications. you use compressed air and a adapter to keep the valves from falling in the engine. i've done the distributor swap but don't remember the wires or how i did it.
