Why is my car so slow all of a sudden
The other day my car all of a sudden got real slow. It still has decent torque and idles well but it has absolutely no horsepower. It struggles to hit 5000rpm in 1st gear. What could this be? It think it's the cat, because I cut the belt for the air pump about 1 week ago, plus it rattles at idle.
What would be the best route to fix this? Should I cut it off myself and have a shop weld me in a pipe. Should I buy a high flow one? I want the cheapest route, this car is a stock daily driver. Will it make the car louder without the cat?

How do you check for a plugged cat? Could it possibly be a ignition problem?
