Is it possible to put fog lights in a 89 rs? If so would it be a)expensive and b)difficult?

What would be the best way to go about doing this?

 

IROCs came with fog lights standard, and they were also available on Z28's. You could either salvage the lights off a junked car, or buy some new ones. They are not difficult to install. If you buy new ones, all the hardware comes with them (though you'll probably need some additional lengths of wire). If you grab them off a junker, make a point to also grab the nuts, bolts, and washers that attach them. Installation includes drilling two holes per light, and snugging them down (leave them loose enough to do the final alignment after they have power), routing power and ground wires, and mounting a switch somewhere in the cabin. From the factory, they came with a relay to disengage the fog lights when you turned the high-beams on (at least in '87), but this is not a necessity. After you have power to them, you can make final adjustments to their alignment, tighten them down all the way, and enjoy.

you can pretty much put any kind of fog light you want in. walmart has a fog light similar to the factory size wise for like $15 i've heard. i have round fog lights with the bluish glow on my 89 rs with the rs grill, however i bought a z28 grill for my 91 rs. i just cut out a small circle for the round lights to fit in for my 89. your choice on which way to go.

 

I bought a set of driving lights from Wal-Mart for $17 or $18.I bought a Z grill about 2 months ago and installed them.
I found that I needed some brackets made for the lights to fit properly.I don't have the means to build brackets so I drilled holes in the grill and aimed the lights as well as I could.They look pretty damn fine now.
I don't know if the lights should sit farther back then what they are now or not.But they look and work fine.
When I'm using my low beam lights I constantly get flashed and the driving lights are almost pointing to the ground now.I have them connected to a 30 amp relay that turns them on when I turn the lights on.I will probably be connecting the relay to my high beam lights so they will only work with my high beam.

About a year ago I replaced the high beams with those high intensity lights.So when I get to flash my high beams I know they are hurting

A z28 grill is an excellent idea. The bluish glow is what I want, I think they look really good.
