ICM keeps dying
I keep frying my ignition control module. The first time I had a shop repair it, and it fried in 2 weeks (Wells brand). I then replaced it myself, and now that one has fried after 4 weeks (GP Sorensen brand).
The shop-installed ICM gave me trouble whenever the car had been sitting overnight. The ICM I installed never had such a problem--but it did die after sitting for only an hour in the parking lot.
I have had no problems with it on the road--once the car starts, it runs strong.
The cap, rotor, wires and coil (MSD GM Blaster) have all been replaced in the past month. The pickup coil and plugs were replaced last year. The ICM I installed used the clear di-electric grease that came in the package.
I've done a search and seems the only other guy with this problem found out it was his alternator being stuck on charge. Is there an easy way to test this? (I don't have a multi-meter.) Any other ideas? I can live with all the other problems my Camaro has, but this one has me looking at the classifieds.

Take the car to an auto parts store and have them test the alternator both on the car and off the car. BTW, did this problem start after you put the MSD Blaster in. Also, have you had the ignition modules that supposedly went south tested?
