Which forged pistons that can handle 125hp shot??!!
OK guys my setup in my sig is good for about 400-415hp and I am wanting to add a 125 shot to this. My 350 has an overbore of .040" with 4 bolt mains. I will be adding an eagle crankshaft with eagle rods as well. WHat I need to know is are the any GOOD forged pistons that will take a 125shot for say around $400??? If there is can you direct me to them. Thanks

A cast piston will handle a 125 hp shot with no problem.
Don't need to over build.
You will need t ensure that you feed it a steady supply of fuel. (enough volume at the rated pressure) at 10.3:1 I'd recomend 94 octane pump gas.
You must avoid detonation while using Nitrous. It eats pistons wether cast or forged.
retard the timing about 4 degrees.
Use a spark plug about 2 heat ranges cooler.
a forged piston will just withstand the detonation a little longer.
Concentrate on the fuel side of your nitrous system and you'll be fine with cast pistons at 125hp.

a forged piston will warp and deform if you have detonation, a hyper piston will fracture/break. just listen to what fbird said and you'll be good.

more silicon content. they are not "brittle" just harder.
You can spend $1000's on forged this and forged that and still scatter it. Or you can spend about $150 doing the fuel system right the first time and sleep at night.
they only thing critical on hypers is the top ring gap. with nitrous bigger is better.
