Cruise Control Problem
I've noticed recently every once in a while I can be going down the highway and my cruise control will just shut off. It has only done this a few times, but if it does it once, it does it several times in the same trip. Usually I can reset it, but one time when I tried resetting it, it didn't engage right away, and then a few miles down the road it started working again. Anybody know why. I suspect maybe the switch on the steering column is bad or the switch behind the brake pedal is messed up. Also, some mornings when I go to use it, neither the set nor the accel/resume buttons work at all. If it is the swith lever, how hard ar they to change? Do the wires pull through the steering column easily? Sorry this was so long.
I'm not totally sure, mine dosen't even work at all
It might have something to do with vacum lines from what i hear, speaking of which i need to check mine. But if you have some sorta inconsistent leak or something, maybe that could mess with it. Just my guess though, sorry i'm not all too helpful on the subject.

Thanks, I'll have to take a look at the hoses. Has anybody every changed the turn signal lever though, because my washer switch is broken anyway? If it is not hard, I want to change it. Are the wires hard to pull through the column?

Also, on the cruise control problem, check the brake switch adjustment. I had one that was out of adjustment and it created the problem you described. I caused the problem myself by pulling up on the pedal (Don't remember why though) and fixed it by adjusting the switch to it's proper setting.
Good Luck!
