code 34? m.a.f.?

here's the deal putt new engine in and i think 1 of the scensors got moved on my m.a.f. my car seems like it has aplugged cat..i checked the computer and got a code 34 does anyone know if this is my problem?didnt have this problem before i changed the engine .it doesnt act like this in the morning only after driving around after warm up. any help would be greatlly appreciated:hail: third gen

Hello Greenfrogg,

Do a for MAF sensor and you will find a trouble shooting diagnostic chart for code 34 that has been posted numerous times on the board for both the TBI & TPI engines.

idid and couldnt get a clear answer. i dont want too spend the $169 .00 4 a new m.a.f .if its aclogged cat or something like the t.p.s ....as another person on here found out on his . he said he was getting a code 34 also. thank s though ido appreciate you're inputt 'especially so quick:hail:

thankyou thank you . idid check this the same way and am pretty sure it must be the m.a.f. asi did get a code 33 when unhooking the m.a.f. butt didnt get any differance when un hookin .so iguess off to the parts store igo:hail:

relay ??/ where would that one bee? the reason i think it is the m.a.f. is because the cesors them selves were messed with ,i think they were goin all different directions .so i fixed and when i removed the plug nothing happen ,i suppose the relay would do the same thing also . hmmmmmm
