Just When You Think You're Pretty Smart
For the last week or so, whenever I've backed my car out of the garage, and I have to crank the wheels some to accomplish this, I've noted a strange groaning/creeking sound, which appeared to be issuing from the pass side front. After doing some research on this board, I was nearly convinced that, perhaps, I needed new ball joints (since the ball joints were newish, my mechanic friend wanted me to bring the car in). This morning, wishing to cover all bases, I had my wife turn the steering wheel from lock to lock--and I discovered the problem: My brand new tires were groaning/creeking on the concrete floor. Once in the street, no problem. For the grace of ***!
