stock pushrod length on 87 305TPI
stock pushrod length on 87 305TPI
just wondering if anyone knows the stock pushrod length on an 87 305TPI is, ive looked everywhere ,thirdgen, cranecams, compcams, etc.... well i went to the local auto parts store and they didnt know but i have some specs on possible replacements;
Mfg: Cleavite- Length= 7.216" PN: Dont Know
Mfg: CraneCam- Length= 7.793" PN: 11660-16
Would either of these work?
And finally im thinking about getting Proform Roller tipped Rockers
PN: 6906c
Will they work together? The guy at the parts store was a moron and i cant seem to find any info anywhere. My Haynes doesnt even have the stock length in it.
Thanks
Jon

I'm not a fan of any aluminum rocker. They don't have the fatigue resistance like steel. Either route you take on rocker ratio, they can be used on the factory length pushrods. Just be sure to check the pushrod guide slot if that is what you are using to align the pushrod to the center of the valve tip. Proper clearance on the rocker stud side of the pushrod slot is what you will be looking at (increasing the rocker ratio brings the pushrod closer to the rocker stud).
