Distributor questions
Two questions:
First, like an a$$, I removed most of the sparkplug wires off the distributor without marking where they connect. There is a notch on the cap, is this a reference point for where the plug wires connect by firing order? If not could somebody explain which wires connect to which points?
Second, there appears to be one bolt on the block keeping the distributor from being pulled out (also used to adjust the timing?)...anybody know what type of wrench I could use to get it loose (I think a crow-foot but I'm not sure). Any info would be appreciated.

no the notch just locates the cap to the distributor body. easiest way is to look in a manual and it'll have good pic of distributor and wire locations. if you're removing the distributor anyway best thing to do is set the timing pointer and mark on the dampner to TDC and then set the rotor to #1 and run the wires.
