Fuel Pressure Problem

OK, On my 87 TPI 350 I turned the key over to prime up the system and it was at 35psi Well I pinched both lines and it went to 40 psi and after 20 min I did not loose pressure, However I took both vise grips off and primed up the system and pinched off the top line (the one that gose to the top of the fuel rail) as soon as I pinched it it went from 35 psi to 40 psi as soon as I took the vise grips off it went down to 15 psi Why? I did the same step to the lower line it started at 35 psi pinched the line and it stayed to 35 psi and when I took the vise grips off it also stayed at 35 psi. Which line on my 87 Is the feed and which is the return? Since I did not loose any pressure with both pinched I'm assuming the injectors are fine. Right? But what about the AFPR could that be the problem? I know I have gas in my oil I just can't figure out why. Any Input. Please help

Well, It too the runners and plenum off tonight to see if the injectors were leaking well with the plenumen and all out of the way I pulled the rail up and turn the key over to prime up the system it went to about 35 psi and I turned the key off well in less than 20 min it was at 18 psi and there was no fuel leaking from the injectors, So what else could it be? I smell gas in my oil and can't figure out how it's getting in there. I was told by a machine shop that the reason my rings did not seat last time was due to gas in the oil so I'm trying to figure out what's going on before I end up paying for a third rebuild. Any one know another way gas can get into the oil? Desperate for help.
