jumper in a/c connector ?
i know this is a work around for a bad part but i can;t remember what part is bad. on my a/c compressor the connector has a paperclip in it what is it doing and what part is bad?
some fan relay or something, i forget been a long time since i did this trick. this car came with the paper clip.
Thanks Jeff

that paper clip is probably jumping the low pressure cut off switch..not a good thing to be doing..u can burn ur pump up if the pressure is to low because the ac pump isnt getting lubricated.
Most of the old Frigidaire/Harrison six cylinder swash plate compressors had a thermal limiter fuse in the connector near the hub clutch. Perhaps you are thinking of that, since many times jumpers could be found in place of a proper fuse.
The only place to insert a jumper in the R4 compressor systems would be the high or low pressure cutoff switches, or the pressure switch that controls the cooling fan. Of course, you'd only want a jumper in any of those for diagnostic purposes, and not for normal operation.
