can LTx cams fit into l98's????

it sounds like a stupid question for those that know the answer but i never knew for sure. ive heard many lt1 and lt4 cam upgrades but will an LTX cam actually work in my l98 roller 383? if so what modifications need to be made?

The earlier versions (93-94, IIRC) are pretty much a direct fit. The later need the dowel pin to be ground down due to the fact that they got the vented opti. OTher than that, they go right in.

Haven't we been through this?

All Gen II cams can be used in your L98. Just like any LT1 and LT4 cam you will have to shorten the dowel pin down and watch the max lift if you are running stock heads.

When I installed my Hot cam in my L98 I just carefully pulled the dowel out of the new cam and old cam and swapped them. Seemed easier than grinding it down.
