Cranks, no start - has fuel and good power
I was coming home earlier today and the car stalled while coming off and off ramp. I pulled into a gas station and it cranked but didnt start. I figured it flooded so I let it sit about 10 min then tried again. Still nothing. It cranks, and sounded like it wants to fire, but doesnt. I pulled a plug and let it sit out and watched it as I cranked, no spark. I replaced the cap, coil, and fuel filter. Still nothing. Before this happened I was cruising around 70mph, and the rpms just dropped from 2500 to 500, only for a moment, then it continued as normal. Could that mean something? Its done it couple times already.
I have fuel. It cranks fine. There seems to be no spark.
Can anyone help?

Hmm, is it that rubber circle with the spring and carbon rod attached? Cause if thats it I replaced it.
I have the accel super coil mounted on top of the cap. Not the stock distributor. Sorry, I forgot to mention that.
Thanks,
Matt

Fixed it. It was the ignition module. Turned right over after I put it in.
Thanks for the help.

Happened to me, as it routinely does, just a couple of weeks ago.... just kind of driving down the road, suddenly, no engine power. I look down at the tach, reads zero (6-speed, in gear, I can hear the engine turning). Hmmmmm.... this is about the 3rd time in this car, and idon't know how many times in my other cars. Getting to be so ordinary, I don't even have to troubleshoot it; I just walked home, got another car, bought a module, changed it out, fired right back up.
This car does it about every 120,000-150,000 miles. Like I said, this is at least twice, maybe 3 times, in this car. What a pain. I hate having to open the hood all the time.
