HVAC control vacuum source?

Not sure if this should go here...

Well In the swap to a stealth ram so long ago I ripped out a bunch of small vacuum lines in and around the engine bay thinking it'd be easy to replace them and that they were all for MAP, EGR and that kind of crap. Well I realized that at least one was for a source for the HVAC controls on the interior. I've got one small tube doing nothing in my engine bay and was wondering if any of you can snap a picture or draw up alittle diagram or hell, toss some sticks my way to show me where to run this tube so I can switch it off of just the defroster vents....

IIRC, right side of the plenum, just behind the vacuum port for the fuel pressure regulator.

I tried hooking it directly to a vacuum port off of the TB and there was WAY TOO much vacuum, nothing worked and there was just a huge sucking noise from the dash... Is there any sort of vacuum regulator?

Assuming it's a hissing noise you're hearing, it's not too much vacuum. You're hearing a vacuum leak from behind the dash.

No. Hard to have too much vacuum, when vacuum is what regulates the air diverter flaps and what not. You do not have too much vacuum.

Was it or was it not a hissing noise?
