hopefully with a s/c, you're running with an aftermarket chip. if you are, call the place that burned your chip to find out what they set the base timing at. if you can't get in touch with them, or you're running the stock chip, im sure 6* btdc would be fine

Too damn funny. I take it you have been the target of the gross generalizations of the F-body?
A pic of the controller would have been more helpful.

I could have sworn it was on 4 when i got it then the next thing I look and it has done a perfect 180 and it is on 12.......hrm it says "advance" and starts at 1 and ends at 15 i think i'll take a photo later tonight to make sure. I have it set on 4 right now....
I just changed my oil with 20/50 Valv racing.......it was a bitch to start but seems to like it just fine. DOES MY MOTOR OIL GO IN MY SUPERCHARGER? I just thought about that

Yes, your motor oil goes into your sc with a paxton or anything else other than a ATI. And is there a reason why you are running 20w50? Last I checked, that's not the recomended viscocity. I wouldn't mess around with different viscocities unless you really know what you're doing and why.
Also, the best way to set that timing adjustment w/o a guess is with a scan tool. Advance it SLOWLY until you see knock under WOT, and then retard it a bit to be safe until you don't see any knock at any given driving condition. I would retard it all the way until I figured something better to do. That's the safest setting, but it will cost you some power until you get it where it should be. More timing = more power, too much timing = holes in pistons = no power = boat anchor. I would also consider either moving the location of that timing control or cutting off your toes and buying smaller shoes.
Size 16, DAMN!!!!!

I was told by 3 peeps at a speed shop to run 20/50 since my motor was a bit radical, will it damage the supercharger? I could have sworn it was the tranny fluid that went into the supercharger...mother F####

They say they don't make parts for them anymore, and they recommended me to a company is californa that does, hell if I blow it i'll just buy a gear driven
