Couple of questions about MT ET drag tires

These tires are Mickey Thompson Et Drag's, they are 28/9.0 - 15. They are for use on my 89 iroc L98.

My first question is do they need tubes? One of my friends says they use tubes with their tires and the other dosen't use tubes. Do I need tubes, and if so do they have to be the expensive MT tubes???

I'm going to have to buy a couple 15 inch rims since I have 16 inch rims. An 8 inch rim should be good right? How much bakspacing?? Also did any iroc's come with a 15inch rim that would work because it would be nice to maintain the look of the car if possible and if so did they have the correct backspacing to let them fit. I imagine that stock backspacing will work because they look about the same width as my 245s. What is the stock back spacing?

Will a 15 inch rim clear my disc brakes??

I rolled them up next to my car and that 28 inch tire really fills the wheel well but I'm pretty sure it'll work.

Thanks for any help.

No you dont need tubes, but the tires will go flat within a few days. As far as aftermarket wheel you need a 8" wide + 5.5" backspace, I have them on my 91 with a 295/50 bfg.

Thanks for the repl.

I think I'll go without tubes since I'm only going to use them a couple times. What pressure range is best for these tires? 15psi?

Also whenwould you consider them to be wornout? I got them used and one tire has the little wear markers showing maybe1/8 inch of rubber and the other has no wear mark showing. Are they too wore too use? I'll be running about 100mph.
Thanks for the help

I went looking for some rims today, but I could find nothing, that was 15 X 8,with the 5.5 inch backspacing. Can anyone think of a car that would have come with rims like that? I can't even find a set of new ones that are cheap, I don't want to spend a bunch of money on rims I'll rarely use.
Thanks
