was going to set the timing on my 90 Iroc 305 TPI I unhooked the computer advance terminal and the timing was set correctly. hooked the connection back up and noticed only a 4 degree advance. That dosen't seem like enough advace to me. The car is low on power. and that's the only possible problem I can discover. Thank's for any help I can get to resolve this problem.

An advance that small may be right for your car while its in idle. Check for any changes while the engine is revved.
Best bet is to get a prom reader to see exactly what your values are and either compare or tweak them to make it better
