Ecm not working?
Im finsishing up installing a new motor in my car and I am having a few problems. The car wont start. starter turns motor, theres spark and fuel preasure. Pulled a spark plug to see if there was any gas on it nothing. I sprayed some starting fluid into the plenum and the engine sputtered a little then stopped. Had a friend that has put a distributor in a few times come over and install the distrubtor. Tried jumping the pins for the computer to see what would happen and it didnt flash back anything, so im thinking its computer related. where would the ground wires in the engine bay be located? Also pulled off one of the injector plugs and put a multimeter to it and got nothing there. How do I tell if the ecm isnt grounded or is just bad? Any help would be great. This thing is driving me cazy.

My car is an 87 and the ECM/ESC ground wire is on the back of the lft cylinder head under the wiring harness. They are 2 tan wires in a crimped on ring terminal mounted to a stud/nut arrangement.
I just fought a problem with my car for over 2 weeks, and found that the crimped terminal had corroded on these wires. Car would jump, buck, tach jump, not start sometimes, but would run good in limp home mode with ESC wire disconnected. I cut the old ring terminal off, cripmed/soldered a new one one and all my problems went away.
