Friend's car won't start..

Car: 1991 Firebird
Engine: 305 tbi
Transmission: T-5
Friend's car won't start..
He's got a 89' Trans Am with TBI. With help from looking at my starter we hooked his up, but it won't start. All of his lights come on now, which they didn't before. His engine won't even turn over or click. It just does nothing. We tried tighetning the battery cables,but it still didn't start. Any ideas???

what else works on the interior? you may have the solenoid wire on the worng post or the post brok like mine did.

Everything
His power windows work, the flashers, the oil temp and other gauges would go all the way to the right. Panel lights came on. Everything came on that I know of.
