Car broken into, need new keyhole cover, etc
Hey! Well, i posted before about this, someone tried to break into my car a few nights ago to steal my audio equipment.
The keyhole cover was pried off, as was the dust cover for the keyhole. It looks ugly as hell, does anyone know where i can get replacement parts that are in good condition? does GM still sell the parts?
Anyway, as an update, i found out who tried to break into my car last night. Some guy with a truck with a busted taillight. Some kids are hanging out at our apartment complex, in the garage right underneath my apartment. I went downstairs last night, to intimidate the people there (they were noisy) when they all ran like i was the devil.
Anyway, not that i plan on being naughty, i do know the truck now, does anyone know a way to really REALLY hurt a car? i mean, there is the old "sugar in the gas tank" but i figure the fuel filter would stop it. It did get me thinking though. Without going as far as to put someone in peril, (i.e. cutting brake lines) what would you guys do to screw up a car? pop the hood and revv the engine with a handfull of sand going into the engine intake? or is there some fuel additive i could toss in someones tank which would make their engine detonate and die a horrible death?
Any suggestions are great, i doubt ill need to do anything, but just in case....

Gas in the tank is good. You can also shove a potato up the exhaust pipes, pop the hood and cut all the spark plug wires, but do so they can't be repaired by splicing them.
Sand would do the trick too.

I've alway's wonder what draining the oil, and adding 5 quarts of anti-freeze would do ???

quickest, easiest way (not to mention pretty costly) would be some tire slashing. mix it up! try the tires and about 2 lbs. of sugar. i know what it feels like to have your sh$t broken into. i've had it done 3 seperate times.
Go to your local Chevy dealer and they can make a new lockset with your original key for around $14. It is easy to install. If you vandalize the "suspects" vehicle, you are stooping to the same level. Let the police handle the situation and enjoy your car.
